Shooting at Mississippi bar leaves 1 dead, 3 injured

One person died and three others were injured after a pistol-wielding man opened fire at a Jackson,
Miss., bar before fleeing the scene early Saturday, authorities said.

The shooting took place following an altercation at the M-Bar Sports Grill in northern Jackson, accordingto the Hinds County Sheriff’s office.Cortez Shelby, 41, was shot in the neck and died, and three others were wounded but did not sustain life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Javarius Stewart, 21, was wanted in connection with the Independence Day tragedy, according to the sheriff’s office.The M-Bar Sports Grill said instatement published to social media that it was closing indefinitely out of respect for those affected.
