Germany striker Miroslav Klose has said that he plans to retire at the end of the season.
The 36-year-old was a crucial part of his
country’s World Cup winning squad and he scored twice in Brazil to
become the tournament’s all-time leading goalscorer.
Klose signed a one-year contract extension in
May with his current club Lazio and it appears that he will end his
career at the Stadio Olimpico.
“I’ve decided to retire in 2015,” Klose told Bild.
Klose has scored a record 71 goals for Germany in 137 appearances.
