Nigeria’s U20 women’s team, also known as
Falconets will travel in two batches to Canada ahead of the 2014 FIFA
Women’s U20 World Cup.
The team would already have been in
Canada, had it not been for Nigeria’s suspension from international
football by FIFA but information made available by the Assistant
Director of Communication, Ademola Olajire said following the lifting of
the suspension, the team will now depart the Nnamdi Azikiwe
international airport in two batches, with the first leaving on
Thursday, July 24th.
Nigeria is grouped alongside England, Mexico, and Korea Republic in group C, but the Africans are yet to win the tournament.
